Holiday Ideas for 2012

motorhome holiday ideas 2012

It seems a bit early to me to be talking about holiday ideas for 2012 already, but I’ve seen a few of the package holiday companies advertising their summer holidays already, so I guess it’s OK.  Of course we would love you to hire a motorhome for your holiday rather than hang around an airport waiting for a delayed flight, but where are you going to go and what are you going to do?

Sports fans are always popular motorhome hirers especially liking models like the Mooveo C7 with it’s built in garage area where they can store sports equipment, but it’s spectators as well who are booking campervans to hire in the UK too.  We are getting bookings already for people wanting to use motorhome hire as a solution for accommodation for the 2012 Olympic games in London. The same people are quite often showing an interest in the Commonwealth Games in 2014 too, but that sounds just too far away for me!

As ever France, Spain and Italy are going to be popular destinations for those in search of some better sunshine and a more relaxed, chilled out holiday. A motorhome is a perfect vehicle for enjoying Europe and if you have never done it before, you will be so surprised about how motorhome friendly most countries are.

The UK still remains a hot (?) favourite for a lot of people who just want to explore new areas, see some countryside, hang around at the beach or just take some long weekend campervan hire breaks to visit friends that they haven’t seen for ages. Everybody has their favourite spots in the UK, mine are North Cornwall around Padstow and Wadebridge, but I also like Mid Wales too, especially the Cardigan Bay area. Thes are areas that I remember from when I was just a kid and I still love them, so why not revisit some of your holiday spots that you remember from your own childhood?

Music Festivals are always massively popular for campervan hire, especially for those who have maybe had just one too many muddy and rainy festivals!  There’s no shame in not being under canvas, and there is a lot of sense in being warm and dry and having a secure and safe vehicle to keep your stuff in, cook and of course sleep!  There is no Glastonbury 2012, but there are tons of other festivals that can be just as much fun.  Keep an eye on this site and we will keep you updated with what is happening, or better still, join our Motorhome Adventures Facebook Page where we will keep you updated with everything.  If you are feeling adventurous, you might consider Benicassim Festival 2012 on the Costa del Azahar, Spain, next July – tickets are on sale now.

Throughout November we will keep suggesting some more ideas of where to go and what to do. Meanwhile we really hope that your holiday ideas for 2012 will include hiring a motorhome, if they do call 0800 612 8719 or get a quote online.
